South Africa

South African wine has a history dating back to 1659, with the first bottle produced in Cape Town by its founder Jan van Riebeek. Access to international markets led to new investment in the South African wine market. Production is concentrated around Cape Town, the world class Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc along with their full bodied reds have really put South Africa on the wine map and rightly so, there is many amazing grapes to be found here it’s not just Pinotage which is only the 8th most widely planted grape variety.
