Tequila

Tequila is a spirited staple with deep roots in Mexico, where the blue agave plant is turned into a smooth, characterful drink. Traditionally made in designated regions, its flavour profile can range from crisp and citrusy to richer and more toffee-like, depending on the way the agave is cooked and how long the spirit is aged.

When exploring tequila, you will often see Blanco (unaged or lightly aged) for bright, fresh agave notes and a clean finish. Reposado spends time in oak barrels, adding gentle vanilla and spice without overwhelming the agave. If you prefer deeper warmth, Añejo offers richer, more rounded flavours, while Extra Añejo typically delivers longer-aged complexity.

It is also worth thinking about texture and serving style. Many tequilas shine in classic cocktails like a Margarita, but they also pair beautifully with grilled meats, citrusy salsas, and mild cheeses. Whether you are new to tequila or refining your palate, choosing the style that matches your taste makes all the difference.
