Vermouth
Vermouth is a style of fortified wine that’s flavoured with botanicals, herbs and spices, giving it a wonderfully aromatic character. Traditionally made by blending wine with a carefully crafted infusion, it’s known for its distinctive balance of herbal bitterness and gentle sweetness. You’ll often find notes such as dried orange peel, gentian-like bitterness, cloves, rosemary, or warm spices, depending on the recipe and producer.
Because of its complexity, vermouth is wonderfully flexible. It’s a classic choice for long drinks and cocktails, especially when paired with gin, soda or tonic, but it also works beautifully over ice with a citrus twist. Prefer something a little more straightforward? Try it neat or lightly chilled to appreciate the layered botanicals without distraction.
In the range, you can expect different styles, from lighter, sweeter profiles to deeper, more savoury expressions. If you enjoy aperitifs with character, vermouth is an excellent way to broaden your bar shelf and add an ingredient that brings both flavour and atmosphere to any occasion.
