Rinomata Cantina Tombacco Origine I.G.T. Terre Siciliane 2016 is a captivating Sicilian white wine that captures the warmth of the Mediterranean in every sip. Crafted in Italy from a blend of Grillo and Zibibbo, it offers a richly expressive profile, balancing sun-kissed fruit character with a layered, savoury edge. Expect fragrant nuances of apricot and dried fruit, along with hints of tamarind for a tangy lift and a softly warming touch of vanilla.

As it opens, aged tobacco notes come through elegantly, adding depth and a satisfying savouriness that keeps you coming back. This is the kind of white wine that pairs beautifully with flavoursome starters, grilled seafood, and light chicken dishes, thanks to its confident structure and lingering finish. If you’re exploring the best of Sicily, this bottle is a standout from the range—one that feels distinctive, refined, and genuinely memorable.

Italy

The ancient Greeks called Italy "Oenotria" meaning wine land and its inhabitants are today as passionate about their wines as ever. Hand in hand with this passion goes an intense commitment to local styles and local grape varietes, of which there are said to be more than 500. Yes 500 different varieties! As a result, Italy produces a wider, more fascinating range of individual, characterful wines than anywhere else in the world. And over the last two decades in particular, Italy's very finest wines have improved out of sight and their star is still on the rise. If anyone is going to truly challenge the famous names of France for supremacy in the battle for the hearts and minds of wine collectors the world over, it's the Italians. Bordeaux, Burgundy and Rhone look out. Here comes Tuscany, Piedmont and Puglia!

Sicily

Blessed with consistently bright sunshine and reliably moderate rainfall, Sicily's classic Mediterranean climate is ideally suited to the production of wine grapes. The warm, dry climate means that mildews and rots are kept to a minimum, particularly in well-ventilated areas which benefit from coastal breezes. This low disease pressure means that chemical sprays are hardly needed, so much Sicilian wine is produced from organic grapes.
